The Saucy Fish Co. recently launched its premium fish products in Canada. This popular British brand offers a range of easy to prepare packaged fish products with different flavours and sauces. I had a chance to try some of their frozen products that can be cooked straight from frozen and also their convenient “ready to eat” line. Available now at Loblaws stores across Canada.

The Saucy Fish Co. frozen products were very easy to prepare. You simply put the fish into the oven bag that is provided and bake in the oven according to the instructions. The fish are pre-marinated and quite flavourful by themselves, especially the Herb Crusted Atlantic Salmon, but each fish also comes with a sauce pack that can be drizzled on top for maximum flavour. The frozen range comes in 4 flavours and make a great meal with some sides or by themselves.

For some, preparing a seafood or fish meal can seem difficult and if you want to skip the cooking altogether, try The Saucy Fish Co.’s “ready to eat” line. These fish products are pre-cooked and if you’re not ready to eat immediately, just pop them into your freezer and save for later. We added the Roasted Atlantic Salmon with Sticky Maple Sauce on top of sweet potatoes and beets, which made for a simple, hearty meal. The precooked fish worked really well with salads, as they flake very easily and don’t necessarily have to be warmed up for a salad.We tried the Roasted Lemon and Herb Atlantic Salmon with an arugula salad, and it was delicious! The “ready to eat” line comes in 3 tasty profiles with 3 different sauces.
