Mexican Snacks and Mezcal Cocktails at Carlotta Bar

Tucked inside the Beverley Hotel on Queen West is Carlotta Bar. It’s a convenient spot to grab some cocktails with a newly renovated space and a seasonal rooftop. They have a nice selection of authentic mexican snacks that pair nicely with a mezcal and tequila heavy cocktail menu. Shareable snacks on the menu include classics like mexican street corn and guac, which they make with jalapeno and pomegranate seeds. They also have some more unique items like an edible flower pot dessert, almost too beautiful to eat. From their bar, I enjoyed their No. 4 cocktail with mezcal, grapefruit juice, agave and a spicy chilli rim. Carlotta Bar is located on the first floor of the Beverley Hotel and you can’t miss it with the pink lighting and Drake’s God’s Plan lyrics in fluorescent neon lights.
